Simply put, Eric Olsten is the best contractor we have ever worked with, and we have been home owners for 30 years.

My husband and I have renovated 4 homes in total, works of varying scope. The last renovation we did was the largest by far, involving almost the entire 4100 square feet of living space in our 1977 home, and then some on the exterior. We moved walls, redid the kitchen and 3 baths (gut jobs), added two baths, laid wood floors, built a deck that involved roof and skylights, added a garage, replaced windows, the list goes on. The project took 7 months (we had to move out), and there was not a moment I was not grateful that Eric was the man in charge.

Eric watched our budget as if it was his own money being spent. He is extremely smart, a super thoughtful and creative problem solver, researches solutions and presents options, guides sub-contractors in a way that is firm yet friendly.

A professional to his core, whatever Eric takes on he does extremely well. He is always on time, always accountable, plans ahead, trouble shoots, has a deep understanding of how things work, is easy to brainstorm with, and does not shy away from discussing tough situations if they occur.

All through the construction process Eric stayed on top of every detail, and I never felt our home was being disrespected. Even though we didn’t live there, Eric made sure the subs cleaned up after themselves, and he took great care in how they treated our home.

After we moved back in, there was no question that Eric respected our privacy and was sensitive to the time restraints he needed to put on subs who’d been used to having free reign, pretty much, to come and go as they’d pleased while no one was living in the house.
